Campus Profile

Located in the northeastern corner of the city of Los Angeles, CSULA's 175-acre urban commuter campus is at the heart of the civic and cultural activities of California's largest city. Two major freeways, several bus systems, and a commuter rail station located on campus grant students easy access to nearby mountains, beaches, museums, and cultural as well as major sports centers.
CSULA's faculty are dedicated to developing the potential of each student.CSULA has pioneered programs in the performing and visual arts, solar research, education, engineering and technology, radio-TV-film, health and human services, and more while following the fast-paced 10-week quarter (rather than semester) system. The diversity and varied learning and social experiences that abound at CSULA are equally important for educational enrichment. The culturally diverse community that is CSULA exemplifies the city's rich history and promotes multiculturalism and diversity.

Helpful Information - Much difficulty exists in securing placement at CSULA. CSULA is now even on Plan A and Plan B. Traditionally only a handful of students participate in NSE.
