Students can choose from Biology and Communication Studies with a wide array of concentrations that will allow the to be successful when applying to professional programs. Additional programs include Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems and Marketing. Other majors are Criminal Justice, Elder Care Administration, Elementary Education, General Studies, English, History, Mathematics, and Chemistry. LSUA is also home to a vibrant theatre department that produces several productions throughout the year and are open to students. Students may also choose to be a part of the Honors Program or have some of their tuition paid for as a member of ROTC. Students at LSUA also receive on-one-one instruction from professors that can be lacking at larger universities.

Campus Location - LSUA is located in the heart Louisiana. Thanks to its central location, LSUA is only a 3-hour drive to New Orleans – a much-loved tourist and historical site, and a 2-hour drive to the state capital of Baton Rouge. LSUA is also close to many plantation homes. Of special interest is the Epps House that is located on the LSUA campus. The city also hosts vibrant Mardi Gras festivities each year and the Carnival season is kicked off with LSUA’s own Mardi Gras parade. LSUA is also home to a Rugby team, rodeo team and other sports teams including baseball, soccer, golf, basketball and tennis.

Helpful Information - We welcome A plan and will take even B plan. It is easy to secure a placement. Commuting from off campus is dependent upon finding an apartment to rent. On campus requires a full year contract.
