Campus Profile

There really is something about studying in the mountains. We can't say if it's the effect of all that fresh air on your brain, or the inspiration of being so close to the stars. What we do know is that Northern Arizona University will definitely change you for the better. Almost as soon as you get here, you'll have bigger ideas. You'll make (and act on) bigger plans. You'll want to move mountains.

Not every university can offer you this kind of personally transforming environment. We can, and you'll experience it in all kinds of ways: the wide variety of courses that open up new worlds for you, the professors who challenge and support you, and the research projects and internships that let you apply what you learn.

Campus Location - NAU is situated at the base of the San Francisco Peaks at 7,000 feet.

Helpful Information - Flagstaff is a bike friendly community. The on-campus shuttle was expanded in 2012 that links students to off-campus locations (such as downtown). Mt Line provides bus transportation throughout Flagstaff.
