ABOUT THE PROGRAM:	The Honors College offers students the experience of a small liberal arts college, set within a large research university. Faculty who teach are on the cutting edge of research. The program provides excellence in undergraduate education to highly motivated and talented students and welcomes them into a community of scholars. The Honors curriculum challenges students by calling for deeper and more independent thinking as well as higher quality research, writing, and collaboration. Honors students have the opportunity to live with others who take their education seriously in special residential houses on Officers' Circle and the Honors floor at Chapel Glen. At Officers' Circle, students from diverse backgrounds and interests participate in a variety of social and intellectual activities outside the classroom. At Chapel Glen, first-year Honors students form a living and learning community by taking Honors courses together and living together. This innovative curriculum lets first-year students experience the collegial atmosphere of a small private college in the midst of Utah's premier research university.
