ABOUT THE
PROGRAM:

The Emory Lindquist Honors Program provides unique and innovative opportunities for academically exceptional students to explore and fulfill the urban-serving research mission of Wichita State University. The Honors Program is not linked to any specific college or major. The emphasis is on interdisciplinary coursework and learning experiences that will supplement and enhance a student’s individual field of study and professional development. The rewards of being an Honors student at WSU include close contact with faculty (the average student-to-faculty ratio in Honors courses is 8:1), access to scholarships, travel-based courses, internships and co-op experiences not available to the majority of the campus, and opportunities for individual and collaborative original research to prepare for graduate or professional school or the demands of today’s global workforce.
