ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The University Honors Program at UTC is a four-year interdisciplinary program that stresses the importance of a global perspective and encourages the development of intellectual and leadership skills. The core of the program consists of a series of seminars designed to replace the university's general education curriculum. Emphasis is placed on learning from primary texts. The program consists of 150 students, 15 faculty, and 4 staff.

Members of the UHON Program enjoy access to small classes taught by honors faculty, priority registration, personal academic advisement, 24/7 access to an exclusive lounge and computer lab, an annual stipend for local symphony, opera and theater performances, and the opportunity to travel overseas with the UHON staff and about two dozen honors students every May.
